Performed hands-on construction of Oracle database server instances in Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) to demonstrate cloud-computing capabilities and pitfalls. Documented entire EC2 process in a 240 page pictorial tutorial to educate developers.
Designed a modeling technique and Visio templates for documenting GM’s network ingress/egress and security mechanisms. Built a set of standard reference access models for employee, business partner, and joint venture scenarios against a wide range of typical devices to communicate common Use Cases in the environment that architects developing new applications must address.
