Designed the SOA/XML-based integration architecture GM’s Parts Workbench application uses to access legacy back-end systems. My architecture minimized the effort required to link regionally-distinct systems to the workbench, permitting GM to rapidly deploy the workbench internationally.
Led the macro and micro design activities of an intranet site offering Ford manufacturing engineers the ability to simultaneously search three legacy back-end systems for product development issues and concerns. The architecture includes IBM's WebSphere application server communicating with databases and back-end systems hosted on UNIX and OS 390 platforms.
